History of the New Technologies programme

This project has provided a snapshot of food processing innovations for 20 years via the new technologies bulletins. Since 1995 it has also carried out a large number of practical evaluations of commercially relevant technologies. Such new technologies include high pressure processing, power ultrasound, pulsed light, spinning disc reactors and ohmic heating.

Since 2006 this project has produced 28 written publications including bulletins, technology updates, R&D reports, research summary sheets, trade press articles, press releases, peer reviewed publications, book chapters and oral presentations at national and international meetings.
