Sustainable brewing

Environmental sustainability was the theme of a recent European Brewery Convention symposium held at Campden BRI and Stratford-upon-Avon, which also included a visit to nearby Hook Norton Brewery. Topics ranged from energy efficiency, thermal recycling in breweries, and gaining added value from co-products, to carbon management strategies, waste water recovery and packaging beer in a changing climate. The event brought together not just a wide range of brewers but also environmental technology companies and other researchers.
