Geoff Taylor, Corkwise, Campden BRI

Geoff Taylor is Managing Director of Corkwise. Corkwise was founded in 1988, as the UK's only independent specialist wine laboratory. Corkwise has state–of–the–art laboratories and equipment, and provides a broad range of analytical services to the wine industry. .

Corkwise also provides oneological supplies to the UK wine industry. A "one stop" shop has been created in conjunction with the international trade's most respected producers including Laffort, Oenoconcept, Diemme and specialist RCGM and barrel suppliers.

Geoff has over 30 years experience in the analysis, production and quality assessment in the alcoholic drinks trade. Geoff covers technical consultancy, auditing, expert witness plus project management. He runs training courses on detecting wine faults.

A Biochemist by training, he spent 12 years working for Capital Wines and the Berry Group of Companies before founding Corkwise in 1988. In 2005 Corkwise joined forces with BRI at Nutfield before Corkwise become part of the Campden BRI Group in 2008 . He is a regular contributor to International Trade magazines and is on the committee of Wine and Spirit Association and The International Wine & Spirit Competition, is a Chartered Chemist, a Chartered Scientist and a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry
