Richard Stanley, Campden BRI

Richard Stanley is a Principal Research Officer in the Agriculture Department at Campden BRI. From a farming background, Richard has a BSc in Agriculture from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and a PhD from the Technology Policy Unit of the University of Aston In Birmingham.

With over 30 years experience in food and agriculture, Richard is responsible for a wide range of projects concerned with crop production and crop quality in the fruit vegetable and arable sector. This has included management of variety evaluation field trials of vegetable and fruit crops, acting as Study Director for pesticide field trials compliant with the principles of Good Laboratory Practice, and running training courses on crop production, crop protection and quality assurance issues in the food industry. Since 1997 Richard has been a BRC auditor for SAI Global undertaking third party audits of food businesses in the fresh produce sector.
