C-Cell Imaging System

CCFRA is a centre of excellence for imaging technology for the Cereals Industries.

C-Cell is an imaging system and uses digital image analysis to make objective measurements of various aspects of appearance and structure of a whole product slice. It can be used with products which have a cellular structure such as breads, cakes, pizza and donuts.

It provides new information for evaluating products, ingredients and the conditions under which the product is processed. It provides an objective measure of product quality.

The system was developed by CCFRA in partnership with
Calibre Control international.
