At Campden BRI we have a huge range of pilot plant facilities, covering over 3000m2, to help you develop new products, analyse existing processes, and evaluate ideas for the future. Amongst the facilities are:
- Heat processing equipment - retorts, steam-jacketed pans, UHT and pasteurisation heat exchangers (including equipment for pasteurising dry ingredients), temperature monitoring equipment
- Cryogenic and air blast chillers and freezers
- Hot air and freeze driers, vacuum cooker and cooler
- Deep fat fryers
- Microwaves and conventional ovens and hobs
- High-pressure processor
- Cereal mills and flour benders
- Fruit and vegetable peeling and blanching equipment
- Drinks carbonators and a citrus multi-juicer
- Sausage fillers and meat slicers
- Aerators for foams and mousses
- Mixers, blenders, homogenisers and centrifuges
- A range of packaging equipment
- Equipment for new technologies such as Ohmic heating and pulsed light
At our Nutfield site, we have specialist pilot plant facilities for brewing and malting.
