The aim of a traceability and product identity (IP) system is to be able to trace specified materials through a defined production operation or supply chain.
This course will cover the establishment and implementation of a traceability/IP system based on first principles, with special reference to food raw materials and the agri-food sector.
The course will be suited to those setting up and managing traceability/IP systems, and those assessing their supply chains, including those responsible for procurements of raw materials, quality assurance, and technical and supply chain management. Those of a non-technical background will also find it a useful insight into issues relating to identity preservation and traceability.
"New regulations require traceability to be established at all stages of the food chain. In commercial practice the requirements for traceability (legal and industry demands and expectations) are becoming more rigorous and apply to all food supply chains worldwide."
