Benefits of attending

This one day workshop is especially structured for wine buyers, quality control personnel, sommeliers or wine enthusiasts and outlines how basic wine analysis can allow predictions of faults and shelf life.

Course content

The course will look at the rationale behind basic wine analysis, and will include how analysis pre-shipment or pre-bottling can enable the quality in bottle or the shelf life to be optimised. Topics covered include:

  • Basic wine analysis
  • Fault prediction
  • Quality assurance
  • Fault testing
  • Shelf life assessment
  • Legal aspects

This is an interactive workshop and includes tasting, so that numbers are limited to a small group.

This course is also available on-site, and can be customised.

"A few basic analyses can help to avoid costly mistakes, especially if they are carried out pre-bottling where palliative treatments are still an option."
