Benefits of attending

Food manufacturers and processors are under increasing pressure to meet ambitious targets for carbon reduction. In order to comply with customer demand, companies are now expected to know their carbon footprint.

This course is aimed at companies throughout the food supply chain faced with the challenge of analysing and reporting the carbon footprint of their operations for one or several of their products.

Delegates will be introduced to various approaches to greenhouse gas assessment and will receive guidance on how to carry out their own carbon footprint analysis and on the interpretation of the results of this assessment. The course provides delegates with practical instruction on which information is needed for the analysis, where to set system boundaries, how to perform the assessment and how to interpret the results. The course will be a mix of lectures, practical sessions and discussions.
