The FEMAS (Feed Materials Assurance Scheme) scheme for feed ingredients is a private voluntary scheme developed by AIC (Agricultural Industries Confederation). The FEMAS standard is designed to cover the assurance requirements of all feed ingredients used in the production of animal feed whether they are the primary products of processing or processing by-products, including regulatory requirements relating to food and feed safety
This course focuses on the evaluation procedures and requirements detailed in the FEMAS scheme. The emphasis is on providing an understanding of the evaluation procedures and on interpreting the technical requirements. The course will benefit those staff responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating operations and systems that aim to meet the requirements of the FEMAS scheme.
