Cost includes a copy of the Product Development Guide for the Food Industry, and a gourmet meal at a local hotel as part of the Diagnostic Dinner session.
The course is specifically designed for those new to product development or those from different functions (for example, marketing) who require an understanding of the product development process. As well as learning the skills of product development, delegates will be able to participate in practical sessions, enjoy reviewing and sampling new products in the marketplace at the New Products Lunch, and test their skills in ingredient identification and methods of preparation at the evening 'Diagnostic Dinner'.
"Supermarket shelves are stocked with a variety and abundance of products which have never been seen before. Some of the larger retailers stock over 20,000 product lines. To ensure that the marketplace remains 'fresh' and provides consumers with varied choice, new products are constantly added to the food sector but success is limited, especially within the first year of launch. This course provides an overview of the role of the product developer/food technologist and takes delegates through the various stages in the development process, to optimise their efforts and improve the likelihood of success."
