Why attend:
Food additives are widely used in processed foods for assisting product quality, texture, appearance, taste and acidity. With the current trend of removing artificial additives or replacing them with 'clean label' alternatives, it is essential for anyone involved in processed food products to understand the types, functions and use of additives in foods. It is only when the additives and their functions are understood that they can be successfully used or replaced in products.
This one day course will provide an introduction to a wide range of additives. It will also explore some of the 'natural' alternatives available. This course will be ideally suited to new starters in technical functions in the food industry.
