Clean filling what is it and what does it achieve? - Seminar

Please contact training for further information

Why clean fill?
Minimisation of contamination via ‘clean filling‘ technology, particularly for products distributed in the chill chain, is essential to maximise shelf-life. This technology also meets the consumer requirements for freshness and contrasting trends towards convenience products with longer shelf lives. But where does the contamination come from and how far towards a truly aseptic filling approach is it necessary to go?

Why attend:
This seminar aims to highlight the benefits of maximising shelf life through clean filling and discuss the technologies involved. The day will focus around manufacturer and retailer experiences and perceptions of the technology, including growing trends, limitations and legislation. In addition, the seminar will report on the results of a three year CCFRA project undertaken to better understand contamination during filling from, for example, splashing and electrostatics.

"For many food manufacturers, the filling of a heat processed product into a container to minimise contamination prior to closure, is a major challenge."
