CCFRA is a major training provider to the agri-food chain offering over 200 scheduled courses and events.
Over the last 85 years, CCFRA has developed an excellent track record and reputation for the development and delivery of training programmes for personnel from the private and public sectors across the whole food chain in areas related to Safety, Quality, Efficiency and Innovation (Product, Process and Packaging).
Over the last year, we have trained over 5000 individuals.
The courses and events are grouped in key sections and listed to create a ladder of learning whenever possible, i.e. from basic/foundation to advanced and from general to specialist – providing cost-effective continuing professional development.
The courses are delivered by specialists in the topic area enabling the most up-to-date information and thinking to be shared with the delegates. The portfolio of courses takes place at our purpose built training facilities and uses the pilot production areas, testing laboratories and training bakery where appropriate. A selection of training courses are also available at different locations (e.g. Lead Auditor courses) and we are developing our offering around the UK and overseas working with reputable local partners. Many of the courses conform to the criteria set by relevant Awarding bodies (e.g. RIPH, CIEH, RSPH, IRCA).
Based on our comprehensive portfolio of scheduled courses, we have been tailoring a wide variety of courses to suit our clients’ needs or developing totally bespoke solutions. An increasing number of companies are selecting this flexible option when they need to train several of their staff on the same topic, thus achieving significant savings on course fees, travel time and accommodation expenses and also ensuring that the content and format of the course meets their specific needs and circumstances.
Topical seminars and conferences are also a feature of CCFRA’s role in keeping the industry informed of developments bringing together speakers from different parts of the food chain from growers to producers, retailers and government agencies. An increasing number of these events are organised with the financial help of industry sponsors enabling us to stage cost-effectively a wide variety of events.
We are very keen for our clients to use CCFRA as a venue and an increasing number of our members and trade associations have taken up this offer. Our central location, free parking, reasonable rates, administration support, choice of local accommodations and the possibility of having presentations/discussions with CCFRA experts during their meeting are particularly attractive to them.
