Within the past 20 yrs Campylobacter has emerged as the most common cause of bacterial gastroenteritis in man.

It is acknowledged that species of Campylobacter are difficult to isolate with procedures greatly affecting successfulness of the detection. Over recent years Campden BRI has gained considerable experience in handling this difficult pathogen and has acquired practical know-how which will be summarised as a series of 'hints and tips' on practical isolation and enumeration of Campylobacter from foods.

The theory behind the practical along with demonstrations covering the traditional and rapid method technologies will be covered in this workshop.
