Why attend:

To appreciate how ISO 14001:2004 / EMAS II define the controls necessary for effective environmental management

Course content:

Objectives, scope and terminology of the Standard
Environmental aspects and their impacts identification and evaluation
Assessment of the "significance" of aspects and the recognition of environmental "risk"
Identification of legal obligations and achieving compliance
The importance of management commitment and how to encourage it
Operational control strategies versus improvement planning and management
Pollution prevention and continuous improvement developing the team/communication
