Location The Research Association is located on the outskirts of Chipping Campden, which is a small town in Gloucestershire, some 20 miles north east of Cheltenham in the attractive Cotswolds countryside. In view of the rural location, use of a car is desirable but not essential. Gloucestershire is a county that combines idyllic scenery with hi-tech industry, bustling towns and unspoilt rural villages. Leisure pursuits are well catered for. The county has a wealth of formal gardens, historic buildings, museums and galleries to explore. Larger towns combine modern shopping precincts with small, specialist establishments. There is a thriving theatre and art scheme throughout the county, and most towns have venues famous for their promotion of the performing arts - Stratford-upon-Avon is just 10 miles. Gloucestershire is also a sporting county. It is the home of one of the countrys top Rugby Union sides, and more than forty club sides play regularly. There are a number of excellent non-league football sides and of course no reference to county sport would be complete without a mention of Cheltenham Racecourse, famous for the Gold Cup festival.
